What can we say? More power to him, I guess. His webpage is obviously designed to draw revenue-generating clicks. Ken's opinions are his own, and all I have to say is that he is totally wrong about the things where I disagree with him. Kuronakko edited this topic 60 months ago. Ken's is bigger than others and some people pay him to see it. If you can accept Ken Rockwell's opinions, then why can't you accept other people's opinions about him ?Īfter all, opinions are like you-know-what, everybody's got one. Have you Google Ken Rockwell ? You will find many answers to your question. Yes, so what? :)Ĭecilia Temperli edited this topic 60 months ago. And everyone of these people have the 'best' solution. If you ask ten people "What film camera should I get?" you get ten answers and then the eleventh reply adds another one, and so on. In the end it is up to each individual to make a decision whether or not to accept his opinion. His small internet info business is making him some money, and why not? Others do it too. I have to admit I too often wondered why there are so many KR haters. So what?Īnd even though I am sure he makes mistakes as anyone else He's just an opinionated guy who happened to document said opinions on a website (and maybe makes a little money off of it). Yeah, I never understood the ever-vociferous ken-haters. Not guaranteed to not annoy you, though :) If one accepts Ken as the Ken, one can find useful information on his site. It's a good practice to try to get in someone elses head and to admit when your wrong. I learn from that as it poses another point of view to direct attention to something missed. So I welcome views that may or not be considered a skew. I have strong convictions on the things that I do and that's not necessarily a good thing. What did it for me was what he wrote in his recommendation of the Nikon 17-55m 2.8 DX lens review: He gets a lot of flak on the digi forums because many of his reviews contain information that is not always correct, or is in some other way not very helpful. His site is very popular but not universally loved. but mixed with quite incredible iPhone 5s photos though. He either is a film enthusiast now or has been around long enough to cover many of the analog stuff/ days. His site seems to show on many of my google searches whether its film cameras or scanning and the info I read seem to jive with experienced users. His website is a great resource filled with good information, and even though I am sure he makes mistakes as anyone else, it appears to me that most of what he is claiming is correct. He sometimes says some things that are controversial, but I think those are meant to be jokes. I wonder why so many people get so annoyed at Ken Rockwell.
